Video increases search score!

Video increases search engine score!

Major search engines are now including the video on your web pages in search engine scores. What, you don't utilize video? Does your competitor? If you're not using video you are falling behind. The best performing sites today have video sprinkled throughout the site.

Given two similar web pages, one with video and one without, the video enhanced page will generate a better search score and be placed higher in search results. In this market, when everyone is competing to "stay on top" for the least amount of money, you might want to consider video to increase your natural search score. Of course there are many ways to implement video on a webpage - YouTube, Flash, Javascript, and HTML5 to name a few. And how do these get indexed by the search engines? Currently it's a toss up. Everybody aproaches the issue differently. Make sure that your webmaster is up on the differences and can optimize your video assets!

Think about ways to utilize video to introduce your company, describe a product or service, or show your company performing a community service.  The ideal video is something that is not time sensitive, so that the "shelf life" is maximized.

Video can be multi-purposed.  Once a video is created, it can be placed on a web page, but also consider linking to this video from your newsletter. View our video page to see examples.

Video Marketing

Jim Varner - Thursday, July 01, 2010
Using video in your marketing efforts is taking on a whole new dimension.  Google is now including video as part of its search engine scoring. So how do you incorporate video into your marketing?  Well there are several ways to do this. Lets look at a couple methods.

Some of our clients depend on banner ads at associated websites to drive traffic to their site.  Imagine if that banner ad was actually a video.  Hovering over the ad plays the video content and delivers the client's messge. An advanced form of this is a banner ad with two or three questions listed in the banner.  Hovering over each question causes the "spokesperson" in the banner to answer each question.  That would really cause the banner to STAND OUT!  (see our examples)

A second way to deliver a video message is in an email campaign.  The email contains a message and a graphic, usually the first frame of the video.  Clicking in the graphic links to the webpage where the video autostarts.  This accomplished two goals: 1) the video message is presented and 2) new traffic is generated to the website.

Of course you can always present pages on your website that contain a menu of choices linking to various video messages.

Here are some figuers quoted at Pixibility regarding video effectiveness:

According to a study conducted by GetResponse emails containing video received 5.6% higher open rates than those without one. Click-through rates (CTRs) were, on average, 96.38% higher. Using video in your e-mail marketing will put you ahead of your competitors. Studies state that 80% of e-marketers plan to use video emails in 2010, while only 15.7% did so in 2009. So how can you make this work for your company?

Here are some basic steps to using video in your e-mails effectively:

Decide on your content
Think about your customers first. What content interests them? Video should add value to their experience. Make sure that your video matches the surrounding content and goals of your campaign. Your video should be consistent with your branding.

Most importantly, add a call-to-action to your video content. Examples for a good call-to-action are "sign up for our newsletter at [provide a link]", "buy before July 1st & get 20% off at [link to your site]", "call us at 1-800-Company for a 10% discount".

Track the results
If you are on our Business Builder platfform, we track all of the click thrus and actions taken at you website.  Otherwise if you are using am email blast service they usually provide some of these statistics.

We can provide a professional spokesperson and edit your video for under $600.  Call us to discuss your specific needs.
